More than some people might think. In my teaching at DHBW Mannheim, I believe students should not only gain theoretical knowledge, but also work on projects with real societal impact. That is why we collaborate with organizations and companies ranging from John Deere and RTL Deutschland to the Bundeswehr. Together with my Digital Media students, we redesigned the Bundeswehr’s “Network of Help” platform from a UX/UI perspective — making it more accessible, understandable, and user-centered. Because good digital solutions are not just about aesthetics. They can help people find support faster, reduce barriers, and create real societal impact. For me, this collaboration represents responsibility, respect, and the importance of connecting higher education with real-world challenges and people who serve society every day.
A special thank you to Captain Stephan Küttler as well as Matthias Kugler, Head of Division and Advisor SK III 5 Care and Welfare at the German Federal Ministry of Defence, and to my Digital Media students for the excellent collaboration ♥️ |
Endless scrolling

You just wanted to check your phone for a minute.
Now an hour is gone. 👀 🤯 Endless scrolling 🤯 Infinite content 🤯 “Just one more video…” That is not an accident. That is infinite scroll. Together with Prof. Dr. Gerald Lembke and Kim Lucy Endler, we explored how digital platforms are designed to capture attention — and why Digital Wellbeing matters more than ever. 💭 When was the last time you spent one hour thinking deeply without scrolling? Special thanks to Gerald Lembke and Kim Lucy Endler for the collaboration 🙌 #UXDesign #DigitalWellbeing #AttentionEconomy #InfiniteScroll #DHBW |
She is to blame.

When women experience violence.
When they build careers. When they do not have children. When they do. When they take on care work. Or simply because of how they look. Victim blaming is not an individual issue. It is a societal narrative repeated across generations. For International Women’s Day, we created the short video: “She is to blame! A centuries-old story.” Together with Prof. Dr. Sabine Moebs and Kim Lucy Endler, we explored how these narratives continue across different areas of society. 💜 Stronger together: Women shaping knowledge, equity, and the future. #InternationalWomensDay #GenderEquality #StopVictimBlaming #WomenInScience #DHBW #Empowerment |
